Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy bodyshop in Harrogate, and they are currently looking for an experienced IMI-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join their growing team.
This role will involve assessing accident-damaged vehicles, identifying the repairs required and producing accurate estimates to ensure vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to the correct industry standards.

Key Responsibilities- Inspect accident-damaged vehicles and assess the extent of damage
- Produce accurate repair estimates and identify required parts and labour
- Determine appropriate repair methods in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Liaise with customers, insurers and workshop teams throughout the repair process
- Monitor repairs and update estimates where additional damage is identified
- Ensure estimates and repair plans are completed accurately and efficiently
- Work closely with Panel, MET and Paint Technicians
- Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer and industry standards
- Maintain accurate records and repair documentation
- Support the smooth and efficient running of the bodyshop
- IMI qualification in Vehicle Damage Assessment / Estimating
- Proven experience as a VDA / Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair processes
- Experience assessing accident-damaged vehicles
- Excellent understanding of repair methods, parts and labour requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
- £45,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday working
