We are partnering with an innovative, growth-oriented organisation that provides technical and project-led solutions across Northern Ireland and the UK. As the business continues to expand, we are looking for a commercially minded Business Development & Account Manager to drive new opportunities and nurture long-term client relationships.
This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives on building strategic partnerships, spotting growth opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Role OverviewReporting directly to the commercial leadership team, you will be responsible for both generating new business and expanding existing accounts. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and strengthening the company's market presence across multiple regions. This is a client-facing role with regular travel and requires a structured, target-driven approach to managing relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Northern Ireland and the wider UK
- Manage, develop, and grow a portfolio of existing client accounts
- Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with clients to deliver value-focused solutions
- Represent the organisation at industry events, exhibitions, and client briefings
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover potential opportunities
- Maintain accurate sales records, pipeline reporting, and activity updates via CRM
- Collaborate closely with technical and operational teams to deliver bespoke solutions
- Support the continuous improvement of sales strategies and client engagement processes
Essential
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to maintain long-term partnerships
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation abilities
- Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing a regional territory
- Proficient in CRM software and standard business tools
- Willing to travel across Northern Ireland and the UK
- Full, clean UK driving licence
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience in a technical, industrial, or project-led environment
- Exposure to working alongside engineering or operational teams
- Familiarity with consultative or solution-based sales methods
- Base salary of £28,000 - £34,000 plus performance-based incentives
