Purchasing and Export Co‑ordinator

Location: Sutton in Ashfield, Office Based

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work with a fantastic business and support the Operations Team with the coordination of purchasing and export for all projects.

• Facilitate all aspects of the import and export process of goods and the purchasing and coordination of materials for all projects.
• Raise and track project purchasing POs and order project materials.
• Liaise with the Supply Chain Manager and other internal stakeholders around approved suppliers.
• Responsible for shipping and logistics arrangements.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of any changes to Customs and Excise rules that may affect the business.
• Assist in implementation of new systems and working practices.
• Review system or process designs, identify areas for improvement and recommend courses of action.
• Ensure that purchasing materials comply with the correct standards.
• Drive innovation and change management initiatives to improve business performance in all areas.
• Promote a continuous improvement culture.
• Control all activities impacting profitability, including operational and purchasing costs, to ensure costs are in line with project targets.

The successful applicant will have export and import coordination experience and the desire to develop and train members to ensure delivery of objectives.
