Communications Lead – Private Sector
Location:
Home‑Based – United Kingdom
Capita Pensions Solutions is seeking a Communications Lead to manage a high‑performing communications team, lead client partnerships, and set strategic direction for our private sector consulting clients in the pensions space. The role demands proactive management, client satisfaction, growth, and commercial profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Client Development & Delivery: lead end‑to‑end service and relationship management, engage senior stakeholders through workshops and calls, collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts, develop retirement communication strategies, plan projects and campaigns, ensure quality and accuracy of deliverables, support communication ROI through measurement, analytics, and insights, drive profitability and growth.
- Team Leadership: line manage Account Managers and Account Executives, provide mentorship and coaching, monitor and evaluate performance.
- Relationship Building: cultivate internal and external relationships, become a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, resolve conflicts proactively.
- Administration: govern processes, ensure timely reporting, maintain charge‑able and non‑chargeable time records, oversee invoicing.
- Business Planning & Revenue Ownership: execute yearly client development plans, identify growth opportunities, contribute to proposals and presentations, represent the company at pitches and onboarding sessions, develop case studies and secure testimonials.
- Strategic Insight & Innovation: stay abreast of industry trends, champion digital engagement and behavioural nudges, lead development of scalable engagement frameworks for DB and DC schemes.
- Experience in the pension sector.
- Experience leading communications teams with a client portfolio (in‑house or provider).
- Experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams and complex projects under tight deadlines.
- Proven client relationship management, delivery leadership, and commercial planning.
- Strong consulting skills: proactive problem‑solving, active listening, collaborative approach.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive strategic direction and commercial growth.
