Where will you be working? At M Group Energy, were enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Transmission & Renewables team. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.

What will you be doing? As a Bid Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of the bidding process, helping coordinate opportunities from qualification through to submission. You'll work closely with Bid Managers, Bid Writers, operational teams, technical specialists and business development colleagues to ensure bids are delivered on time, to a high standard and in line with client requirements. You'll gain valuable exposure to strategic projects, senior stakeholders and industry-leading clients while developing the skills needed to progress into Bid Writer and Bid Manager roles.

You'll also support the ongoing development of our bid library, lessons learned database and work-winning processes, helping the team continually improve the quality and efficiency of future submissions. This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two opportunities are the same, offering excellent exposure to the commercial, operational and strategic aspects of the business. This role can be based in either Newcastle Upon Tyne, Nottingham or working remotely.

Support the coordination and delivery of bids, proposals, pre-qualifications and framework submissions. Assist Bid Managers in planning bid activities, developing programmes and managing critical submission deadlines. Coordinate bid kick-off meetings, workshops, reviews and governance activities. Manage action trackers, bid plans and stakeholder engagement throughout the bid lifecycle. Chase and collate information from operational, commercial, technical and support functions. Maintain document control and version management for all bid-related information.

Support the production, formatting and quality assurance of submission documents. Help ensure submissions are compliant, accurate, professionally presented and submitted on time. Maintain and update bid libraries, case studies, CV databases and standard company information. Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives across the bid team. Assist with market research, customer intelligence gathering and competitor analysis activities. Support interview preparation, presentations and other work-winning activities where required.

Produce bid reports, pipeline updates and management information as requested. What you'll bring:
Experience working in a coordination, administration, project support or bid support role. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Experience working to strict deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to manage and organise large volumes of information and documentation. Proactive, enthusiastic and willing to take ownership of tasks Desirable Previous experience supporting bids, tenders, proposals or work-winning activities.

Experience with in infrastructure, utilities, energy, engineering or construction sectors. Understanding of public and private sector procurement processes. Knowledge of APMP methodology and bid management best practice. Experience using client supplier procurement portals. Experience using AI tools responsibly to improve quality, efficiency and consistency.
