We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Early Learning and Childcare Officer.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, caring and stimulating nursery environment for all children.
• Implement a curriculum in line with national and local guidance.
• Plan, record, implement and evaluate suitable programmes of activities.
• Maintain and record children's assessment progress.
• Promote parental participation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience working or training in an early learning and childcare setting.
• Awareness of assessment and documentation of children's learning in line with national and local guidance.
• Ability to plan and deliver a relevant and inclusive curriculum.
• Knowledge of child development.
• Flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
• Relevant practice qualification such as HNC in Childhood Practice (SCQF level
  7), SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) (SCQF level
  7) or equivalent.
• Meet the registration requirements of SSSC as Practitioner of Day Care of Children Service.

Additional Information

• This is a temporary post, subject to business needs and funding for 3 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever is earlier.
• Disclosure Scotland check required; level determined by duties of the post.
