Project Manager, Program ​/ Project Manager, Operations Manager

Project Manager York Tier 1 Contractor £65k - £75k + Package

I m working with a leading Tier 1 contractor renowned for delivering large-scale projects across the education, healthcare, industrial, and commercial sectors

They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a c £15m new build education scheme in York

This is a site-based delivery role, with responsibility for driving the day-to-day management of the project through construction to handover

The role;

• Manage the delivery of a new build education project to programme, budget and quality targets
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and consultants to ensure smooth project execution
• Maintain and update construction programmes and short-term lookaheads
• Support commercial control, procurement and contract administration under JCT
• Ensure high standards of health & safety, quality and environmental compliance
• Identify and manage risks, issues and change as the project progresses
• Act as a key point of contact for client and consultant teams

You will need;

• Experience delivering new-build construction projects in the £10m £20m range
• Background in education, public sector or similar regulated environments preferred
• Working knowledge of JCT Design & Build or Traditional contracts
• Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in construction, engineering or a related discipline
• Confident managing site teams including Site Managers, Engineers and subcontractors
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
