Location: Site Based

Salary: 52,000 + (DOB)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager to join our Land Reclamation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional to take responsibility for the successful delivery of site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The successful candidate will oversee all on-site construction activities while leading teams, managing subcontractors, and maintaining excellent standards of health, safety, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Site & Operational Management

  • Oversee all day-to-day site operations and construction activities.
  • Assist Contracts/Project Managers with pre-construction planning and site setup.
  • Manage subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with drawings, specifications, company procedures, and industry standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop site teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Attend project and company meetings as required.
  • Ensure all project documentation and records are completed accurately and on time.

Health, Safety & Environmental

  • Maintain and manage Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety procedures, legislation, and environmental standards.
  • Manage method statements, risk assessments, permits to work, and training records.
  • Promote a positive safety culture across all site activities.
  • Participate in investigations relating to incidents or disciplinary matters where required.

About You

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in a construction-related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a Site Manager role within construction or contracting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor site teams.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Desirable

  • Broad knowledge of multiple construction trades.
  • Understanding of motivation and personnel management theories.
  • Experience liaising with clients, consultants, tenants, and the general public.
  • Experience with in land reclamation or civil engineering projects.
