Senior Quantity Surveyor - Permanent job - Upto £80K Package - Site based in North London.

Yournew role
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will manage project costs, contractual obligations, and change processes to ensure commercial efficiency. Responsibilities include preparing budgets, cost forecasts, interim valuations, and final accounts; procuring and administering subcontractors, including assessing and certifying payments; overseeing variations, change control, and value engineering support; leading Extension of Time claims and Loss & Expense submissions; maintaining accurate commercial documentation and ensuring compliance with JCT and NEC contract procedures;
identifying and managing commercial and financial risks; producing monthly commercial reporting such as CVRs and cashflow updates; and collaborating closely with project, design, site, procurement, finance, and supply chain teams. The role also requires supporting dispute avoidance and contributing to governance, quality, safety, and risk standards across projects.
- 7 years of experience in a similar quantity surveying position, demonstrating strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to manage costs, contracts, and project financials effectively.
- Experience working with JCT and NEC forms of contract.
- Experience working on construction of steel frames and similar sector projects in the light industrial, waste management, warehouse, and data centre space.
- Professional accreditation such as MCIOB or MRICS is considered advantageous.
- Travel to site in North London and offices in Central London is essential.
This is a great opportunity offering a salary between £60K and £80K package.
