Site Manager (Concrete Repairs & Civil Engineering)

Location: Fishguard, Pembrokeshire, South Wales
Contract: 6 Months
Rate: Day Rate (DOE)
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

The Company

Our client is a specialist contractor operating within the concrete repair, structural refurbishment, and civil engineering sectors. Due to an increase in project workload, they are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a major concrete repair and refurbishment project in Fishguard.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site teams, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all site operations and daily activities.
  • Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure works are completed in accordance with project programmes.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks.
  • Deliver daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions.
  • Maintain accurate site records and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Liaise with clients, engineers, and project stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve site issues to minimise project delays.
  • Monitor productivity and project performance.
Requirements Essential
  • Previous experience as a Site Manager within:
    • Concrete repairs
    • Structural refurbishment
    • Civil engineering
    • Infrastructure projects
  • Valid SSSTS certification.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • CSCS Card (Management Level).
  • Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS).
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Experience working on marine, coastal, bridge, or infrastructure projects.
