Building Inspector (Building Control) Overview To oversee residential and mixed-use developments to ensure building regulations compliance Duties Check plans for compliance with building regulations, structural warranty criteria, and associated guidance Undertake inspection of works and produce detailed inspection records Issue initial notices, plan certificates, amendment notices and final certificates Ensure inspections have been conducted with appropriate certification submitted, and that defects/non-conformities have been addressed prior to issuing final certificate Operate in accordance with QMS procedures Provide mentoring and support for trainee surveyors Act as technical liaison internally and externally Requirements Registered Building Inspector - Class 2 A, B or D (or otherwise actively involved in the application process) Construction-based site experience

Experience of construction from foundation to completion Understanding of structural warranty standards- desirable Knowledge of Building Regulations, and related legislation, standards, and environmental concerns Excellent relationship management skills Problem-solving capability IT literate Salary & Benefits Basic salary circa £48,000 - £55,000 Competitive bonus Company car / car allowance Healthcare Payment of 2 professional subscriptions & BSR fees Ongoing professional development opportunities
