NEC Supervisor

Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced NEC Supervisor for a major marine infrastructure project in South Wales.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced NEC professional to take a key role on a live port infrastructure project, working within a clearly defined NEC contract environment.

The Role

As NEC Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the contract, specifications, drawings and required quality standards. The role will involve working closely with the project team and contractor, providing effective site oversight and ensuring the works are being delivered safely, correctly and in line with the NEC requirements.

The project involves significant marine and port infrastructure works, including the removal of an existing platform and works associated with a floating pontoon currently being used for Stena Ferries passenger onboarding.

The Person

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Previous experience working as an NEC Supervisor, Resident Engineer or similar position.
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and the specific responsibilities of an NEC Supervisor.
  • Experience working on civil engineering projects within ports, marine or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of piling and associated civil engineering works.
  • Experience monitoring contractors and ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • The ability to work confidently alongside contractors, site teams and client representatives.
  • Chartered status is desirable but not essential.

This role would particularly suit an experienced Resident Engineer who has a strong NEC background and wants to work on a clearly defined NEC Supervisor position.

Rate & Working Hours
  • £400-£500 per day
  • CIS engagement
  • Full or half-day rates considered
  • Flexible working hours, broadly 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

All conversations will be treated in the strictest confidence
