Site Manager - Complex Wastewater Works | Outside IR35
Location:
North Wales
Sector:
Water / Wastewater
Contract:
Outside IR35
Duration:
Long-term contract
If you're an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in major wastewater delivery and you're looking for an assignment where you can genuinely take ownership of complex works, this is worth a conversation.
This is a long-term Outside IR35 opportunity working on a significant wastewater programme in North Wales. You'll be managing technically challenging, multidisciplinary works with interfaces across MEICA, mechanical and civil engineering.
This isn't a straightforward package or a role where you'll simply be overseeing subcontractors. You'll be brought in for your delivery expertise - taking ownership of complex packages, coordinating specialist teams, resolving site constraints and keeping critical works moving against programme.
Why This Contract?- Outside IR35 with long-term potential
- Complex, technically challenging wastewater works
- Genuine ownership and autonomy over site delivery
- Multidisciplinary packages across MEICA, mechanical and civils
- Major programme environment with continued workload
- Opportunity to use your experience rather than simply supervise a package
- A role where your ability to solve problems and maintain programme will have a visible impact
You’ll be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of complex works on site, working closely with project, engineering, commercial and specialist delivery teams.
You’ll be trusted to manage your area of the programme, including:
- Coordinating multidisciplinary construction activities across MEICA, mechanical and civil packages
- Managing specialist subcontractors and delivery partners
- Driving short-term planning, sequencing and site productivity
- Managing interfaces between different work packages and disciplines
- Identifying constraints and resolving delivery issues before they impact programme
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance
- Coordinating works within and around operational wastewater assets
- Working closely with engineering and project teams to ensure buildability and efficient delivery
- Providing clear progress reporting and maintaining effective communication across the wider project team
We're particularly interested in Site Managers who can demonstrate recent delivery experience on major or complex wastewater schemes.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Recent experience working within a Tier 1 contractor or major water framework environment
- A strong track record delivering complex wastewater works
- Experience managing multidisciplinary construction packages
- A MEICA bias and strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and civil interfaces
That said, we’re also interested in strong civil or mechanical Site Managers who have worked across multidisciplinary water projects and have a good overall understanding of MEICA delivery.
You’ll also need strong subcontractor management, programme and stakeholder management skills, alongside SMSTS and the appropriate CSCS competency.
