Blaymires Recruitment is representing an established principal contractor specialising in cladding remediation, façade refurbishment and regeneration projects, who is searching for a Senior Project Manager to join the business in London.

The company delivers multi-million-pound projects across London and the South East, improving the safety, quality and performance of residential buildings.

The company is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead a major project in Wandsworth, London (SW18 4BT
), valued at circa £22 million, with an anticipated programme of three years.

The scope of works includes cladding remediation, a small amount of render remediation, window replacement and replacement of automatic opening vents (AOVs). Works will take place above a live shopping centre and operational businesses, with scaffolding supported on structural steel above live car parks. The project will require careful planning, coordination and management of logistics to ensure safe delivery while maintaining access and minimising disruption.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager from a Main Contracting background with major project experience, and cladding/façades experience would be an advantage.

The Role

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will oversee delivery of your allocated project, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* You will develop, manage and monitor project programmes, budgets and resources.

* You will lead site managers, assistant managers and subcontractors, providing clear direction and support.

* You will coordinate with commercial, design, procurement and health and safety teams throughout the project.

* You will work closely with the Quantity Surveyor to monitor costs, subcontractor packages and expenditure.

* You will oversee labour, materials and deliveries to maintain progress against the programme.

* You will manage relationships with clients, consultants and other stakeholders, attending progress meetings and providing clear updates.

* You will work with resident liaison teams to address residents’ concerns and minimise disruption.

* You will maintain quality assurance records, project documentation and health and safety standards.

Experience and Qualifications

* Proven experience delivering large construction projects £15M plus as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.

* Previous cladding or external wall insulation (EWI) would be an advantage .

* Strong leadership skills, with experience managing site teams and subcontractors.

* Good commercial awareness and the ability to control programmes, budgets and resources.

* Strong communication skills and a professional approach to client and resident liaison.

* HNC or equivalent qualification or experience in a construction-related discipline.

* CSCS card and SMSTS.

* Asbestos awareness, scaffold inspection and first aid certificates.

* Experience using Microsoft Project and Excel, including programme planning and critical path analysis.
