Reliable Contractors are recruiting for an experienced Grader Operator to join the BBV HS2 project at B76 0EB
.
Long-term work is available for the right candidate with the correct cards, tickets and experience, offering stable employment and regular income for the foreseeable future.
Assignment Details

* Employment Type:

Full-time
 
* Payment Basis: PAYE
 
* Paid Holidays: 31 days per year (including bank holidays)

* Start Date:

As soon as possible following successful vetting checks, medical and on site induction

Must Have
 
* Valid Blue CPCS card or relevant recognised qualification for operating a grader.
 
* Previous experience operating graders on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
 
* Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
 
* Ability to work accurately to levels, drawings and site specifications.
 
* Experience working around live earthworks operations.
 
* Reliable and proactive attitude towards work.
 
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Role and Responsibilities
 
* Operate a grader safely and efficiently on the BBV HS2 project.
 
* Carry out earthworks, grading and levelling operations to the required specifications.
 
* Work accurately to site drawings, levels and instructions.
 
* Complete daily plant checks and report defects.
 
* Maintain productivity while following site procedures.
 
* Coordinate with other plant operators and ground workers.
 
* Follow all site health and safety requirements.
Shifts
Working days:
Monday to Friday.
Start time: 7:00am–7:30am.
Finish time: 5:00pm–5:30pm.
Overtime
Monday to Friday:
Time and a third after 10 hours.
Nights:
Time and a third.
Saturdays and Sundays:
Time and a half.
All night hours:
Time and a half.
Health and Safety Risks
The successful candidate will be expected to promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring site rules, procedures and relevant health and safety requirements are followed.
Key risks associated with the role include:
 
* Moving plant and vehicles:
Maintain safe segregation and follow site traffic management procedures.
 
* Earthworks and uneven ground:
Monitor ground conditions and follow site instructions.
 
* Working around other operatives:
Maintain communication and observe exclusion zones.
 
* Plant operation:
Complete daily checks and report defects promptly.
 
* Slips, trips and falls:
Keep access routes and work areas safe and tidy.
All site-specific risks and control measures must be confirmed through the project RAMS, risk assessments and site induction.
