Senior Quantity Surveyor – Highways
Location: Norwich, Norfolk
Contract: Long-term
IR35: Outside IR35
Sector: Highways / Civil Engineering
We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major highways project in the Norwich area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong QS with a background in highways, infrastructure or heavy civil engineering to join an established project team on a long-term contract basis.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial management of highways and civil engineering packages
- Subcontractor procurement, management and payment
- Preparation of valuations, applications and cost reports
- Managing variations, compensation events and change control
- Cost forecasting and CVR reporting
- Supporting contractual and commercial negotiations
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Working closely with project managers, engineers and the wider delivery team
- Ensuring accurate commercial records are maintained throughout the project
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Strong background in highways, infrastructure or heavy civils
- Good working knowledge of NEC contracts
, ideally NEC3 or NEC4 - Experience managing subcontract packages from procurement through to final account
- Strong commercial, contractual and cost-management skills
- Ability to work effectively within a major project environment
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred
- Location: Norwich, Norfolk
