Facilities Assistant

We are looking for a Facilites Assistant at Giants Causeway to help keep the whole place in good condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit. This role is all about using your practical skills and attention to detail to look after a place that people love.

Salary: £24,862.50 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours/ working pattern: 1950 hours per year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.

As a Facilities Assistant, you will be based within the North Coast Property Group, helping to ensure that our sites remain safe, welcoming, well-maintained, and operating smoothly for visitors and colleagues alike.

The North Coast Property Group includes several iconic visitor attractions, including:

• The Giant's Causeway Visitor Centre
• Downhill Demesne

You’ll help with the day-to-day presentation of the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You’ll be turning your hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor bits of maintenance, making sure that all our facilities are kept in good working order. You'll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.

Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter-picking, both inside and outdoors. form a core part of this role. You’ll be aiming for the highest standards of customer service everywhere you look after, and this includes speaking to people as they visit and helping them with any queries. You might also get involved with general maintenance work and helping other teams if they need extra support.
