Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time, on‑site Interior Designer role based in Monifieth. The Interior Designer will develop design concepts, prepare presentations, and translate client requirements into functional and visually appealing interior spaces. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include space planning, selecting finishes and materials, coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and producing detailed drawings in collaboration with architects and contractors. The role also involves conducting site visits, supporting project documentation, and ensuring that designs meet budget, timeline, and quality expectations.
The Interior Designer will work closely with clients and team members, contributing to a cohesive design process from concept through completion.
- Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to create functional, well‑organized layouts.
- Experience collaborating with professionals and understanding how interior design integrates with building design.
- Proficiency in preparing Construction Drawings and technical documentation for use by contractors and suppliers.
- Knowledge of FF&E selection, specification, and coordination, including finishes, furniture, and fixtures.
- Relevant design qualification or degree (e.g., Interior Design, Architecture, or related field).
- Proficiency with design and drafting software (e.g., Virtual Worlds or similar), and standard office tools.
- Strong visual, conceptual, and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to present ideas clearly.
- Experience working on‑site with contractors and suppliers, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
