Greens Norton & Weedon Medical Practice (GNWMP) is looking to recruit a Salaried GP to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a view to a permanent position.
We are seeking either:
- A 6-session GP working Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Due to service requirements, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in a rota covering Enhanced Access cover until 8:00pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, or
- An 8-session GP
, working Monday, Tuesday, Friday and one additional day to be agreed. GPEA cover as above.

The role will involve working across both our Greens Norton and Weedon sites.
Based in rural South Northamptonshire, we are a training and dispensing practice caring for over 14,900 patients. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, supportive and well-established multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Main duties of the jobThe Role
As a Salaried GP, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to our practice population, working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.
The role will include:
- Delivering safe, effective and compassionate clinical care.
- Undertaking face-to-face, telephone and online consultations.
- Managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribing in line with local and national guidance.
- Reviewing pathology, correspondence and clinical documents.
- Completing referrals, prescriptions and associated clinical administration.
- Participating in duty doctor sessions on a shared rota (where applicable).
- Working collaboratively with GPs, nursing, pharmacy, administration and wider practice teams.
- Contributing to quality improvement, clinical governance and service development.
- Supporting teaching and supervision where appropriate.

The postholder will:
