• Full time, 40 hours per week
• Working Monday to Sunday on a full shift rotation
• Fixed Term for 12 months
• Registrar-level (Tier
  2) rota.
• 1:8 on-call frequency.

• Day shifts
• Twilight shifts

• Night shifts

• Exposure to a broad range of acute paediatric and neonatal cases.
• Teaching and educational activities.
• Involvement in audit and quality improvement projects.
• Opportunities to contribute to service development.
• Support for professional growth, including doctors working towards the Portfolio Pathway (formerly CESR).

• Exposure to a broad range of acute paediatric and neonatal cases.

• Has previous NHS paediatric experience.
• Is working at or near ST4+ equivalent level.
• Wants to strengthen skills in acute paediatrics and neonatology.
• Is interested in gaining additional experience before higher specialist training or pursuing the Portfolio Pathway.

• Not recognised for specialty training by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH)
