Locum Consultant - Hiv Op & Gum
Job Summary
This is a 6 PA locum appointment for a Consultant in Genitourinary Medicine (Sexual Health & HIV), with a special interest in Adolescent HIV. The post will be available from September 2026 for 6 months in the first instance. The post will deliver 6 PAs supporting the HIV outpatient medicine team and the Leeds Sexual Health integrated sexual health service. It will be based at Leeds General Infirmary and Leeds Sexual Health service sites.
Must hold accreditation in Genitourinary Medicine in the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent, and must be on the Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK, or must have references authorised by the Deputy Medical Director and Clinical Director.
The post-holder will provide out‑patient clinical care and senior supervision in HIV and integrated sexual health (STI and contraception patients), HIV Pre‑p± LARC procedures depending on competencies. Opportunities will exist to contribute to teaching, research and innovation.
QualificationsMust have established skills in HIV and integrated sexual health (STI and contraception patients), compulsory HIV Pre‑p± LARC procedures dependent on competencies, and experience in providing holistic adolescent HIV care. Must possess excellent communication and team‑working skills, commit to teaching, and drive service development.
