Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and committed Consultant Psychiatrist to join our established South & West Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) on a full-time substantive basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive, experienced, and multidisciplinary team that is dedicated to delivering high-quality mental health care and promoting recovery for adults across the local community.
Based at Fieldhead Business Centre, St Martin's Avenue, Bradford, you will provide specialist psychiatric leadership to a diverse caseload of working-age adults with complex mental health needs., As Consultant Psychiatrist within South & West CMHT, you will be responsible for the assessment and medical review of patients, providing clinical leadership across the multidisciplinary team, and supporting service users through recovery-focused care.
The role includes outpatient clinics, multidisciplinary case reviews, home visits, Mental Health Act assessments, tribunal reporting, and liaison with primary care and partner services. You will work closely with a highly skilled team including nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, support workers, and trainee doctors to deliver holistic, person-centred care. You will supervise junior doctors and nurse prescribers, contribute to teaching and training, participate in clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities, and play a key role in shaping future service developments.

Specialty Registrars who are within 6 months of attainment of CCST at the time of interview are eligible to apply. The appointee will need to be both AC and S12 approved at the time of the interview, or be fully eligible for approval., Prior to your appointment you will be asked to provide confirmation of your right to work and reside in the UK.

- Certificate of Completion of Training in General Adult Psychiatry (ST6 trainees should be within six months of attainment at the time of the interview) or CESR equivalent.
