Palliative Care Physician, Internal Medicine Physician, Medical Doctor, Healthcare Consultant
As Clinical Fellow, you'll work alongside our Consultants and wider multidisciplinary team to provide medical care to the 16 inpatients at Priscilla Bacon Lodge, with occasional cover for our Living Well Centre day unit and community specialist palliative care team. 5), covering evenings, weekends and bank holidays, including a full Saturday ward round - always supported remotely by a second on-call Consultant., You'll join a small in-patient team of medical and nursing staff, therapists, chaplaincy and volunteers, with consultants present and accessible day to day. There's a strong teaching culture - regular journal clubs, postgraduate teaching meetings, and doctors coming through from the Norwich GP and core medical training schemes, the Eastern Region Palliative Medicine Specialist Registrar Training Scheme, and other specialties on secondment.
The service has shifted focus in recent years toward greater emphasis on symptom control and rehabilitation, so the caseload is broad, including patients with non-malignant conditions.

- Experienced - at least two years' full-time general medical experience post registration.
- A confident communicator who works well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Organised, able to prioritise a varied clinical workload.
- Enthusiastic about teaching, audit and service development.
- Keen to develop a career in palliative medicine - previous experience in the specialty is a bonus, but not essential, as full support and induction will be provided.
