• Northwick Park Hospital: home to one of the busiest emergency departments (A&E) in the country. The hospital provides a full range of services including the country's top-rated hyper-acute stroke unit and one of only three hyper-acute rehabilitation units in the UK.
• St Mark's Hospital: an internationally renowned specialist centre for bowel disease
• Ealing Hospital: a busy district general hospital providing a range of clinical services, as well as 24/7 emergency department and urgent care centre, and specialist care at Meadow House Hospice.
• Central Middlesex Hospital: our planned care site, hosting a range of surgical and outpatient services and collocated with an urgent care centre.

• The successful candidates will work under the supervision of the AMU Consultants in the care of acute general medical inpatients, with the opportunity to participate in the Acute Medicine Take on call as well as work in Ambulatory Care as well as develop your procedural skills.
• The appointee will be expected to attend and actively participate in Departmental and other teaching sessions.
• It is expected that the appointee will assist with the teaching of undergraduate medical students attached to the firm and postgraduate doctors.
• The appointee is welcome to participate in Clinical Audit and clinical governance activities within the department of Acute Medicine.
• We will work to support you through your exams and application processes for further posts / training posts.

As part of the restructuring of acute medical services at Ealing, we are looking for one candidate to join our team.

Acute Medicine has a dynamic and enthusiastic team of acute physicians  department has a well-deserved reputation for excellence in teaching and training. The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is a busy 30-bedded ward, with two acute consultants based on the ward during normal working hours. Successful candidates will join our dynamic team of 5 acute consultants, and twelve acute junior doctors.

All candidates should be eligible for registration with the GMC, and MRCP Part 2 or equivalent is essential. The post-holder will be expected to be able to provide cover to the unit and support the consultants in AMU in providing medical leadership.
