Urgent Treatment Centre - Clinical and Operations Manager (Salary £57,528 - £64,750
* basic salary + 4% additional for Lead Role & Prescribing premium)
We are looking for the lead for our friendly and supportive team at Faversham Urgent Treatment Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running and future development of our thriving UTC service.
The UTC has access to X-ray and point ofcare testing. The UTC team has 13 practitioners, supported by GPs and HCAs.
The UTC is open 7 days a week 8am to8pm. This position requires working some Bank Holidays, regular Saturdays and Sundays, evenings and other cover when needed.
An independent prescribing qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
Staff working out of hours will receive an unsocial hours addition
. This is paidat additional 30% rate for working on a Saturday and additional 60% rate for working on a Sunday or Bank Holiday, during contracted hours.
We also give a prescribing premium of £3,000 gross per annum to FTE UCPs that have successfully passedthe prescribing qualification and have become independent prescribers, payable over 12 months. This is pro-rata for part-timeUCPs.
A standard Disclosure and Barring Service check will be carried out as part of our recruitment procedures and also regularly during employment. The responsibility for payment of this lieswith the Practice.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and effective clinical care tothe UTC patients and the practice population.
This will be achieved by providing clinical and managerial leadership to the Urgent Care Practitioners and other staff involved in clinical care within the Urgent Treatment Centreand practice.
The post holder will work closely with the GPs and management team to deliver the practice priorities.

Faversham Medical Group at various fora including, UTC clinical & network meetings as necessary.
Faversham Medical Group consists of 2 GP surgeries;
Faversham Medical Practice and Newton Place Surgery. We also run an Urgent Treatment Centre based at Faversham Health Centre.

Oversee safe and effective delivery of clinical care
Lead onand undertake relevant audits, including prescribing and PGD audits
Lead onand undertake relevant audits, including prescribing and PGD audits
Lead and participate in reviews of clinical safety and significant incidents issues
Manage implementation of any changes recommended from incident reviews and learning events
Manage and participate in continuous clinical improvement initiatives
Participate in vaccination programmes as appropriate/required
Overseethe process of the monitoring of emergency equipment, sharps bins, vaccine fridge and stock
Work withthe Infection Control Lead to ensure all standards are met
Work withthe management team and lead on development of current and new services relevant to the UTC and practice
