Great Western Academy is seeking an Attendance Officer to join our exceptional pastoral team.

Location:

Swindon, Wiltshire

Salary: NJC 4-6 £ 13.05 - £13.47 per hour

Contract:

Permanent, Part‑time (30 hours approx. per week, term‑time only)

About the Academy:
The Academy opened in brand new, state‑of‑the‑art facilities in North Swindon in September 2018. It is heavily oversubscribed in years 7 to 11 and has a flourishing 6th form to match.

Key responsibilities and expectations:

• Daily monitoring and recording of attendance data to support students whose attendance is not yet where it needs to be.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents and carers to establish excellent attendance and punctuality routines.
• Conduct home visits to students and their families (requires a full driving licence and use of a suitable vehicle).
• Collaborate with an experienced and friendly pastoral team, contributing to the running of the school and supporting colleagues.
• Take part in extensive training opportunities and pursue career development within the team.

The successful candidate will join an experienced pastoral team, receiving training and having opportunities for promotion and career development.
