Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Special Needs School Supporting Students with Additional Needs – Blandford, Dorset

Hours:

08:00 AM – 16:00 PM

Contract:

Temporary Full-Time Position (with potential to become permanent)

About the Role

Supply Desk is working closely with a highly regarded Special Needs School in Blandford, Dorset, that provides dedicated support for students with a range of additional needs. The school is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary and secondary students across the curriculum, with a particular focus on English and Maths.

You will be working with small groups of around 5–10 students, supporting their learning and development in a nurturing environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people with SEN reach their full potential.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience working with students with SEN, ideally Autism and Asperger’s, in an educational setting.
Strong understanding of the primary and secondary curriculum.
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to create a positive learning environment.
Passionate about supporting students with additional needs to achieve success.
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to individual student needs.
