SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Monk Hesleden

A lovely school in the County Durham area require a 1:1 SEND teaching assistant to join them ASAP. The candidate will be required full time to support a challenging Key Stage 2 pupil with ASD who has very challenging behaviour. The role is full time role and will involve working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm. One to One SEND Teaching Assistant Responsibilities Working within KS2 setting of the school to work 1:1 with a SEND pupil Recording evidence of the child completing tasks and feeding back to teacher and parents Using own initiative to take the lead and to change activity plans if needed One to One SEND Teaching Assistant Requirements Previous experience of working with challenging SEND individuals, positive handling training would be advantageous Ability to provide 2 x educational based references Confident and experienced in lone working Excellent numeracy and literacy knowledge Good behaviour management Benefits Competitive pay rates Cash back incentives for referrals A dedicated and personal consultant who is on hand 24/7
