Salary starting from £89.38
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:30–15:30 (no weekends)

Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a specialist SEN provision in Bridgend. The provision covers a wide range of complex needs and additional learning needs including SEMH (social, emotional and mental health), ASD (autism spectrum disorder), SLCN (speech, language and communication needs) and SLD (severe learning disabilities). The school ranges in ages from 3–19, so it is essential for a successful candidate to be comfortable working across varying age groups.
Responsibilities- Support teachers and pupils with special educational needs by helping create an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
- Work under the guidance of qualified staff to assist with classroom activities.
- Provide one-to-one or small-group support and help implement learning strategies.
- Promote pupils’ independence and wellbeing and support with personal care where required.
- There are no prior qualifications required for this role; further training will be provided by Teaching Personnel.
- Willingness to learn and ability to take direction in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Patience, empathy, and caring nature with excellent communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service and Education Workforce Council application (assistance available if not currently held).

- All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the potential for a permanent role at a later date.
