Science Teacher with a Second Subject
Pay: MPS to UPS3 + SEN
1.
Hours:
A minimum of 0.4 FTE or up to full‑time with a second subject.
Start Date:
September 2026.
Are you passionate about your subject and driven to support pupils to reach their full potential? Do you want to work in a Trust where all colleagues answered either “strongly agree” (97%) or “agree” (3%) to the question “I am proud to be a member of staff”?
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small Trust as a Science Teacher that can also offer a second subject. The post has arisen due to the increase in pupil numbers and popularity of the subject. This role is primarily based at the long-established Roman Fields with a requirement to work one day a week at our small site in Radlett.
If you are able to work across multiple sites an arrangement will be made to ensure this is reflected in your pay/working conditions. Please still apply if you can only offer Science as a subject and are happy to work part‑time, up to three days a week.
- Join a team of experienced teachers and tutors and teach small groups.
- Be proactive and work closely with parents, staff and other agencies to find workable solutions and responses that engage pupils, and support their well‑being and attendance.
- Spend time with pupils outside lessons to build essential relationships that shape the Trust and allow us all to flourish.
- Enthusiastic, reflective and committed individuals with aspirations for future progression.
- High expectations for all pupils, with expertise in classroom practice and a desire to learn.
- Experience with SEN is considered, but is not a crucial requirement.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share in this obligation. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure by the DBS.
Contact & ApplicationWe encourage you to see us in action, so please contact Mandy Crow – (ext. 203) to arrange a term‑time visit.
Applications close 4th March 2026. Interviews will be conducted the week commencing 9th March 2026. Visits available any time prior to the closing date.
