Teacher Active is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to work within a supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Colchester. The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Deliver pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher

Manage classroom behaviour effectively and confidently

Build positive, professional relationships with students

Support pupils with SEMH needs, helping them to engage with learning

Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate :

Experience working with young people (education, youth work, coaching, residential care, etc.)

Strong behaviour management skills

Calm, patient, and resilient nature

A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs

Ability to adapt quickly and think on your feet

Experience with in an SEMH or alternative provision setting is desirable but not essential – the right attitude and commitment are key.
