Construction Studies Lecturer

Construction Studies Lecturer at GEDU Global Education

Department: Academic/Bath Spa University partnership (BSU)
Location: Leeds (On‑Site)
Salary: £51,000
Contract: Full‑time, Permanent (40 hrs per week)

Flexible teaching schedule across weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities
  • All aspects of planning, delivering and assessing student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met.
  • Developing, updating and improving course materials.
  • Using a variety of learning and teaching methods.
  • Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest developments in the field and student support practices.
  • Working towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
  • Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
  • Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
  • Experience of accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
  • Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
  • Experience in design/development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.
