Falkirk Council are looking to recruit a Support for Learning Assistant (Grade

E) for Maddiston Timezone which is an ASL wing part of Maddiston Primary School. Due to having to decant from Maddiston Primary, the Timezone pupils are currently based at Moray Primary School and Carrangrange High School. The successful candidate will be working between the two schools.

You will provide support for teachers and pupils to enhance pupil's well-being, engagement and achievement. Undertake a range of whole school support activities and pupil support with regard to pupils' complex healthcare needs,(further information on complex procedures attached), language and communication needs, as well as general supervision and safety for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties and/or physical impairment.

Good communication skills are essential and the role will require supporting children with a wide range of needs. You should enjoy working as part of a team. A wide range of training will be required to be undertaken and more information will be provided during the interview process.

You will work 27.5 hours per week on a term time basis. Your working pattern will be 9am to 3pm.

These posts are temporary until June 2027 due to service requirement.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.
