Salary Grade: 2-4 / Point 2 - £19,202.61 (pro rated) inclusive of SNA 1.

Working Pattern: Full time

Working Hours: 32.5 hours per week term time only, plus 5 PPD days.

Contract Type: Permanent, subject to a 6-month satisfactory probation period.

Oakwood Academy is an Outstanding Specialist Arts, Technology and Sports College based in Ellesmere Park Eccles for pupils with MLD and CLD.

We are seeking to appoint highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team at Oakwood main site and Willows primary provision.

The successful applicants will be required to provide 1:1 support to a range of pupils with specific medical needs, physical disabilities and a range of learning difficulties and complex needs.

We are looking for applicants who have high expectations for all students and are committed to developing their full potential. Previous experience in working with pupils with Autism and sensory need is desirable.

Applicants are expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Possess good literacy and numeracy in order to support learning, have the ability to promote independence and confidence and be an excellent role model to all.

You must have a caring, positive and flexible attitude with a willingness to work as part of a team, and able to use your own initiative and to work without supervision. Applicants must have the ability to work flexible hours as appropriate.
