PK Education are working with a secondary school in Sheffield who are looking to appoint an Art & Design Teacher with strengths in Product Design from September 2026.

This is a part-time position across three days per week for the full academic year, joining a creative and well-supported department that values practical learning and student creativity.

The role will involve teaching Art & Design with a focus on the Product Design side of the curriculum, delivering lessons that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning across KS3 and KS4.

The department benefits from strong facilities, supportive leadership, and a collaborative team environment where staff regularly share ideas and resources.

The school are looking for someone who can:

  • Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
  • Inspire creativity and independent thinking
  • Maintain strong classroom management within workshop and classroom settings
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff

The Role

  • Teaching Art & Design across KS3 and KS4
  • Delivering Product Design lessons within the Design curriculum
  • Planning and assessing student progress
  • Supporting coursework and practical project work
  • Maintaining safe and organised classroom/workshop environments

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant secondary teaching experience
  • Experience teaching Art & Design and/or Product Design
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Passion for creative and practical education
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative department
