Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Long Term Futures are recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school from September. This role will focus on supporting pupils across Key Stage 2, working closely with children who require additional support with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.

The successful candidate will become part of a strong pastoral and SEN team, providing both 1:1 mentoring and small group interventions for pupils with SEMH needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who can build positive relationships, act as a role model and help pupils develop the skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

The Role

  • Provide targeted 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Deliver small group interventions focusing on emotional wellbeing, social skills and self-regulation
  • Support pupils in managing their emotions and behaviours positively
  • Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and improve classroom engagement
  • Use restorative and trauma-informed approaches to support behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral staff to implement support plans

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting SEMH or behavioural needs within a primary school setting
  • Level 3 Qualification or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation techniques
  • Experience delivering 1:1 mentoring or intervention programmes
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
