Pastoral Support Officer
Required for September 2026. 36 hours per week, term time plus two weeks.
Starting Salary – Point 16 (£31,278).

The Pastoral Support Officer works closely with the pastoral team to ensure the needs of all students are met. Responsibilities include dealing with attendance issues, supporting young people in accessing their education, and assisting students with day‑to‑day activities. You will maintain accurate records, collaborate with staff, students, parents, and external agencies to provide first‑class pastoral support.
This demanding role requires resilience, quick learning and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities- Work with pastoral team members to support student welfare and attendance.
- Assist students in accessing and engaging with their education.
- Support day‑to‑day student activities within the school.
- Maintain accurate records and report to relevant parties.
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to deliver pastoral care.
- Resilient and able to take on a demanding role.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt quickly to new tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strict commitment to confidentiality.
