Position: Caretaker (Part Time) - Part-time
Location: Fawkham

Caretaker

Part Time and Permanent role (3 days per week)

Immediate start

£25,000 FTE per annum (£15,000 pro rata)

Steephill School is seeking a reliable, proactive, and hardworking Caretaker to join our dedicated team and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our children, staff, and visitors.

Main responsibilities:
  • Opening and securing the school site daily
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of school buildings and grounds
  • Monitoring and testing heating, lighting, and security systems
  • Assisting with setting up rooms and facilities for school events
  • Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues
  • Supporting health and safety procedures across the site
  • Monitoring and maintaining Health and Safety compliance documentation
  • Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs ensuring the cost effective use of materials.
