Expiry date: 11:00, Thu, 18th Jun 2026
Location:

Benefits:
Competitive salary, defined benefit pension, generous annual leave entitlement
An exciting opportunity to join our Pathways department has arisen where you will play a key role in the delivery of education. This role can also provide you with worthwhile experience if you wish to pursue a career in teaching at a later stage.
Contract: Full time, permanent.
About you: You will need to hold a Level 3 qualification (NVQ/QCF or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and have relevant industrial experience along with an Assessor Award. Candidates require level 2 qualifications in Maths and English and be IT Literate to level 2.
Why work for us? As well as competitive salaries, our pension schemes are some of the best available. These are administered via the Local Government Pension Scheme or the Teacher’s Pension Scheme and provide pensions that are increased each year in line with inflation. We contribute over £10 into your pension, for every £100 you earn.
The holiday allowance is excellent right from year 1. You have 28 days per year of holiday, rising to 32 after 5 years, and as we close the College for up to 5 days over Christmas, this means up to an additional 5 days of leave. With the 8 days of public/bank holidays on top of this, you could benefit from 41 days of annual leave as an assessor.
This is work‑life balance!
We have a range of potential flexible working options available including agile working, sabbatical leave and job share, where it meets the needs of the College. Sickness benefits here are generous, and staff are also provided with free access to independent occupational health, the Employee Support Helpline, a 24‑hour life management and personal support helpline. The College also employs a dedicated Health and Wellbeing Co‑ordinator, who provides support and organises very popular events across the Group, as well as providing access to a variety of free wellbeing resources.
There is free car parking at all of our main colleges as well as bike storage, and if you are based in the South, we can also offer a 10% discount at the Lilliput Day Nursery in Neath.
The College is an educator and as such we actively promote and encourage Continuous Professional Development for all of our staff; we may even be able to contribute to the fees for higher degrees and other qualifications helpful to your job.
On top of all this, working at the College gives us the privilege of being involved in helping our learners and our communities succeed and thrive.
