Plumbing Course Leader (Tutor)

Full time, 37 hours per week (Fractional posts considered).

Location:

The Stephen Burke Construction Academy, Swadlincote.

Salary:
Up to £36,590 pro rata.

PLUS £4,500 'Golden Hello' staged over 3 years, plus Bursary up to £1,800 per year (qualification level dependent), plus up to £11,000 professional development bursary for formal education and training qualifications including Level 3-5 Education & Teaching, Level 3 TAQA Assessor Qualification, Level 4 TAQA Internal Quality Assurance Qualification, Level 4 HNC in Construction / Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead in the delivery and coordination of our plumbing programmes, ensuring high‑quality teaching and an excellent learner experience.

Possibly develop and deliver specialist industry‑related courses as part of continued growth.

Support and enhance the learning environment for students, maintaining up‑to‑date industry knowledge and engaging teaching approach.

Qualifications
  • Strong industry experience in plumbing or electrical installation.
  • Relevant qualifications in specialist subject.
  • Teaching qualification desirable; supporting candidates willing to work towards one.
  • Qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths with evidence of qualifications required.
