Job Overview
Swindon Borough Council is transforming service delivery. We seek an Educational Psychologist to support vulnerable children and young people.
RoleFriendly, supportive team operating within Children’s Services. Hybrid working model with on‑site and remote sessions. Full‑ or part‑time positions (minimum 0.6 FTE) and up to three SPA points (existing points honoured).
ResponsibilitiesDeliver statutory services and a successful traded service to schools. Provide interventions, training programmes, group supervision, coaching, consultation clinics, circles of support and organisational research. Engage in ELSA, MeLSA and Cygnet developments. Manage a supportive, flexible workload with variety through traded and commissioned work.
Qualifications & Requirements- Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) or in training towards HCPC registration.
- Fluent in English (required by Part 7 of the Immigration Act).
- Commitment to supporting the inclusion of vulnerable children and young people.
- Focus on children and young people at the centre of practice.
- Creative, flexible, positive, solution‑focused.
- Ability to work successfully in a multi‑disciplinary team.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with other practitioners and partners.
- Pro‑active in developing and sharing knowledge and skills.
- Willingness to travel throughout the borough and access to a car.
