We are looking for a passionate Sports Coach to support students aged 11‑16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a specialist secondary school in Colchester, Essex.

The role is full time and permanent, providing engaging sports activities, promoting positive behaviour, and offering classroom support to help students access learning and achieve their full potential.

Deliver and lead sports sessions; support SEMH students; promote positive behaviour; provide classroom support; collaborate with staff; maintain a safe environment.

• Experience working with children or young people in a coaching, mentoring or educational setting.
• A recognised sports coaching qualification or relevant experience.
• Experience supporting students with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.
• Strong behaviour management and relationship‑building skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• A positive, resilient and proactive approach.
