Salary: £32,916 - £51,048

We are seeking a permanent Design Technology Teacher to join our mainstream secondary school in Essex from 01 September 2026. The role covers Key Stage 3, 4 and 5, specialising in Product Design, Graphics, Textiles or Food, and includes active involvement in extra curricular clubs, competitions and school events.

The successful Design Technology Teacher will teach across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, specialising in one or more of the following areas:
Product Design, Graphics, Textiles or Food. The role also involves –

• Teaching Design Technology across KS3 and KS4.
• Managing a classroom and organising teaching resources.
• Promoting practical learning and guiding student achievement.
• Running extra curricular clubs, competitions and school events related to Design Technology.

• QTS or ECT status
• A degree, or equivalent experience, with a recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Design Technology across KS3 and KS4
• A specialism in Product Design, Graphics, Textiles or Food
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• A passion for practical learning and student achievement
