We are looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Support Assistant to join our supportive team at St Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy. This is a key position that focuses on ensuring all students are able to fully engage with their education by removing barriers to learning. You will provide high‑quality pastoral, safeguarding and administrative support to students, parents and staff, contributing to the welfare, wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and safeguarding of students across the school.
The RoleThe Senior Pastoral Support Assistant will take a lead on pastoral care across the school, supporting students on an individual and group basis, particularly those facing additional challenges such as SEND, behavioural issues, or poor attendance. As a senior member of the pastoral team, the postholder will provide operational leadership and support to the wider pastoral team, oversee student services functions, contribute to safeguarding practice, and line manage designated support staff.
