This is a unique and rewarding role for an ambitious leader who is passionate about Welsh-medium education, inclusion and improving outcomes for all learners. Working across both schools, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting school improvement, developing teaching and learning, and ensuring the highest standards of wellbeing and inclusion.
Responsibilities- Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and management of both schools.
- Lead and promote high-quality teaching and learning across both settings.
- Act as the school's Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator (ALNCo), ensuring effective identification, provision and support for pupils with additional learning needs.
- Work closely with staff, families and external agencies to secure positive outcomes for all learners.
- Lead on inclusion, wellbeing and equity across both schools.
- Contribute to self-evaluation, school improvement planning and professional learning.
- Support safeguarding and promote a culture where every child feels safe, valued and successful.
This is a non-teaching Deputy Headteacher position, allowing the successful candidate dedicated time to lead, support staff and drive strategic improvement across both schools. The role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced middle leader, ALNCo or current senior leader seeking to broaden their leadership experience within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Qualifications- Is an excellent classroom practitioner with a proven record of leadership.
- Has a strong understanding of the Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Act and inclusive practice.
- Has experience of leading and supporting staff development.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is passionate about improving outcomes and wellbeing for all pupils.
- Has high expectations and the ability to inspire others.
- Is committed to the values and vision of Welsh-medium education.
