Salary: £85.50 - £110 per day
Are you a compassionate, patient, and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant looking to make a real difference? Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Hemel Hempstead from September 2026.
This is a fantastic full-time opportunity to support pupils in Key Stage 1 with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Cognition and Learning, and Communication and Interaction. About the RoleAs a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
- Support pupils with SEMH, Cognition and Learning, and Communication and Interaction needs, helping them to access the curriculum and engage confidently in school life.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised learning and intervention programmes.
- Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued.
- Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs and learning styles.
- Promote independence, confidence, positive behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is desirable.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH, Cognition and Learning, or Communication and Interaction needs would be advantageous.

- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic attitude.

- Daily rates of £85.50 - £110, depending on experience.
