History Teacher – Full‑time, long‑term temporary and ongoing role starting ASAP

Duties as History Teacher- Teach History full time across relevant secondary year groups
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop analytical thinking and historical understanding
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning needs and abilities
- Maintain consistent behaviour expectations and a positive classroom climate
- Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative curriculum development
- Support pupils in developing strong essay‑writing, source analysis, and contextual knowledge
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong History teaching experience
- Confident delivering History at KS3 and KS4
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Able to motivate and support learners of mixed abilities
- Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality teaching
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
