SEN Teaching Assistant - Team Teach Trained

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time
Salary: 120 - 150 per day

Job Responsibilities:

Provide support to the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing student behaviour
Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs (SEN)
Offer reading and writing support to students who require additional assistance
Support the teacher in maintaining classroom discipline and encouraging positive behaviour
Provide 1:1/group interventions
Monitor students' progress

Required Qualifications:

Team Teach trained or open to ECT's

Experience:

Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant
Experience working with students with challenging behaviour and SEN
Alternation Provision or specialist school experience is beneficial

Knowledge and

Skills:

Strong understanding of young people with behavioural difficulties and SEN
Excellent behavioural management skills
Ability to effectively manage a classroom environment
Familiarity with alternative provisions and specialist schools
