UTS Academic Merit International Scholarship

Scholarship Overview

UITS Academic Merit International Scholarship offsets the cost of undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in Sydney. The scholarship is awarded to international students who demonstrate academic excellence and are commencing a full‑time on‑campus program.

• Scholarship value: 20% of UTS tuition fees (intake 2025), 15% of UTS tuition fees (intake 2026)

• International student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident)
• Meet all admission requirements for the selected UTS undergraduate (including honours) or postgraduate coursework program
• Commence full‑time, on‑campus study in Sydney
• Not studying a UTS online or distance degree
• Not a citizen of a South Asia region country
• Not a recipient of another UTS scholarship or grant, or the UTS Alumni Advantage Program for the duration of this scholarship
• Not a government‑sponsored student

For undergraduate admission, academic merit of the qualification used as the basis of admission will be considered. For postgraduate admission, academic merit of the most recently completed and recognised qualification or the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) (both accepted for admission into UTS Business School programmes only) will be considered.

No separate scholarship application is required. UTS Future Learner Recruitment and Admissions will automatically consider all commencing international students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney.
