Position: SEND 1 to 1 TA In B33

1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant - Stechford
Full-Time September Start 1-Year Contract

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a male pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a primary school in Stechford.

This is a rewarding but demanding role supporting a pupil who requires consistent guidance, structure, and supervision throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing dedicated 1:1 support in and out of the classroom
Supporting a pupil with ASD who can be boisterous and highly energetic
Managing behaviours such as running, charging around the classroom, and climbing
Assisting with toileting and personal care needs
Promoting engagement, learning, and positive behaviour
Working closely with teaching staff and SEND professionals

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience supporting children with ASD and SEND
Strong behaviour management skills
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Confidence supporting personal care needs
The ability to maintain firm boundaries while building a positive relationship
A proactive and adaptable attitude
